The different colours on each side of the racket also make it immediately visible to coaches and teachers whether the racket is being held properly. Combined with the isometric racket head, this racket helps players develop their technique with greater confidence and control.

The ELI Badminton Racket Teen is part of the Easy Learning Initiative (ELI) by Talbot-Torro. This innovative learning concept has been developed to make badminton more accessible within schools. The series consists of rackets specifically designed for children and aligned with different age stages. Within the ELI programme, players progress step by step from Mini to Junior, Teen and ultimately Advanced, with each variant tailored to the player’s development.

For children aged 8 and above, the Teen version features an isometric racket head. This shape has a slightly larger and more angular head compared to a traditional oval badminton racket, increasing the sweet spot. Even when the shuttle is not hit perfectly in the centre, the racket remains forgiving. This helps players develop greater control and consistency in their shots as their technique continues to improve.

In addition, the racket is equipped with a shortened shaft specifically designed for young players. This reduces the likelihood of the racket making contact with the floor and makes it feel lighter and more comfortable during training sessions and lessons. The slim shaft with approximately a 0.5 mm smaller diameter also reduces air resistance, contributing to improved manoeuvrability and faster handling speed. This combination of grip support, an enlarged sweet spot and enhanced manoeuvrability creates a natural progression to a higher technical level.
